What does the movie Rabbit Proof Fence tell us about Australian culture?

this storie was set bac in ';the stolen generaion'; were whit ppl wanted to keep aboriginals from ';herting tham selfs'; so thay take away there children and put them in white homes to ';breed the black out of them'; it showed bac then ';only 30-40 years ago'; the average white australian was raciced and only thourt there culture was the ';right one'; and it showed the indiganes australian was very cultral and cared so much about there children and rased them well ( EXUSE MY BAD GRAMMER AND SPELLING)What does the movie Rabbit Proof Fence tell us about Australian culture?
the film shows racism in Australia and the personal story of young girls of the stolen generation. it shows us the white peoples superior attitudes toward the Aborigines and how they affected the Aborigines. It also shows the places the stolen children were taken to and the christian values white people had and tried to push onto the aborigines.What does the movie Rabbit Proof Fence tell us about Australian culture?
It showed that while mothers got custody of children in the event there was a split with the father, if the father was white - then the fathers race was more important so the government took the children and placed them in institutions - not gave them to their fathers, to raise the ';white half';
It's not a generalisation of Australian culture overall it's just a flaw in some people's minds to act in that sort of way and get rid of their ';aboringinal ways'; out of them.
