Can you give a rabbit a bath?

I bathe my rabbit all the time but I was wondering, is there any kind of shampoo to use for this? I just use only water. I'd like to get her really clean for once :P ThanksCan you give a rabbit a bath?
bunny shampoo - probably from vet or pet store - be careful of the eyes and get her out of the water while it is still gently warm (not hot) and dry her gently but thoroughly by stroking the towel in the opposite direction of her hair or patting. Do not do this too often as it may ruin her skin. Can you give a rabbit a bath?
Yeah you can it might be a struggle but you can.Just try not to get water in there ears it can damage them.
they make rabbit shampoo. Petsmart or Petco would probably carry it. Rabbits have natural oils in and on their fur that help keep them warm. Frequent shampooing in recommended.
you can i guess. rabbits groom them selfs. might want to use a weak hair dryer to blow some dirt out.
Us a pet shampoo for and no other.others have things in them that might harm the fur. RABBITS as a rule like a little water.IF the rabbit knowes

your going to be gentel with it . will injoy it knowing

it makes you happy.
Honestly... I'd just use soap you clean your dishes with, just make sure your rabbit doesnt taste it.. It doesnt taste very good.
yes
It's really not necessary to bathe your rabbit. They naturally groom themselves and that keeps them very clean.
maybe but not to hot
only if it is willing to let you
no need to!!! they clean themselves! if there is a certain area that needs to be cleaned, you should use a wet towel.. but never cover the bunny, they can have a heart attack and die.. that happened to my bunny at the vet. :(
BABY SHAMPOO IS BEST, SO YOU DONT HURT THERE EYES
What are ya gonna do, frickissee 'im? Just use your most likely sweet smelling, expensive shampoo, or buy the dollar 2 in one shampoo at the dollar store, if it's a boy rabitt.

Just kidding, you wouldn't bathe your cat, now, would you?
Hi Berrybread,

I've never heard of bathing a raddit... much less a shampoo for them but I google searched it and found some links. I hope I can help!

http://www.rabbitmart.com/shop/index.php鈥?/a> (3rd row down on the right, 5th row down in the middle, and 9th and 10th row down in the middle)

And you can look on google too. There will probably be some at your local pet shop or ask your vet.

NC
I just love bunnies!!

I want one so much and am seriously thinking about going out today or tomorrow and getting one.

But as for your question Petco has a really wonderful shampoo for pets that smells good enough to use ourselves.

I would try that but first ask an associate who works there if it's safe for your bunny.

Good luck!

Just to let you know baby shampoo is really bad for you because there's a chemical in it that keeps your eyes from feeling the burn from the shampoo if it gets in your eyes.

Most people think that the shampoo isn't made to burn but in reality it's no different from any other type of shampoo except it as something in it that keeps the nerves in your eyes from feeling pain.

Not good for us and especially not good for the bunny.
you can give them a bath but dont too often .. last time i had a rabbit and i gave them bath too often so they died .
no it will get a cold, get a rag and just wash it but will semi warm water.
There are animal shampoos out there, especially at the pets stores, but we always used baby shampoo and conditioner on ours. They were dwarf rabbits with really long fluffy hair. (I forget what they were, it's been a few years.) I was massively allergic to their dander, and the only way to keep it under control, was to bathe them. They liked warm water, in the kitchen sink. They would get up on the windowsill and watch things going by outside.
sure, why not, they get wet when it rains in nature...
I have seen shampoo for almost every pet so sure if he or she likes it just go to a petstore and buy some they will have it

or go online at like www.petsmart.com
They have rabbit bath, and waterless rabbit wash. I'd cut down on doing it though as it may dry out her fur. Try a waterless rabbit spray bath, which will clean her up easily and leave her shiny without the stress.
I think that you can use any gentle shampoo without scent on your rabbit. Unless it has an allergy, use simply non-scented extra-gentle shampoo.
ask a vet or pet store dude but i am pretty sure u can but before u do rub its foot 4 good luck
ask your nearest pet store
